What to expect
Sunday, November 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building on Island Highway. The date has moved, so ignore any older listing with a different day.
The View Royal FireSmart Program hosts it: bring your Halloween pumpkin and watch it take a four-storey plunge from the fire department’s training tower. It is a much better ending for a jack-o-lantern than the green bin.
Donations are welcome and go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association Burn Fund.
