What to expect
Friday, November 20, noon to 1 p.m. at the Nature House. GVPL runs the stories, songs, rhymes and puppets from noon to 12:30, then it is half an hour of free play and social time. Ages one to five with a guardian, older siblings welcome, and it costs nothing. Outdoors when the weather allows, in the Nature House Library when it does not, which in November is the likelier of the two.
The sensible move is to stay afterwards. The floating boardwalk across the lake is a short, flat loop that small legs can manage, and the wintering waterfowl are in by then.
