What to expect
November 27 to 29 at the Royal Theatre: 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 1 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Canadian take on the Nutcracker, with a hockey game, Mounties, polar bears, reindeer and a battle on Parliament Hill, played with the Victoria Symphony. Dance Victoria calls it its largest production: close to 100 dancers, including more than 70 local young people.
Tickets are through the Royal and McPherson box office (250-386-6121). Prices were not posted on the presenter’s page when we checked.
