What to expect
Sunday, November 1, 2 to 4 p.m. at Colwood City Hall on Wishart Road. This is the City’s third annual Pumpkin Smash.
The point is the wildlife. Colwood used to line its roads with old Halloween pumpkins after the holiday, and the smell drew bears and other animals into the neighbourhoods. So bring yours here instead, take a family photo with it, and then smash it.
The City is also asking for donations to the Goldstream Food Bank, to help stuff the bus for neighbours in need. The page does not give an admission price, so check it before you go.
