What to expect
Tuesday, November 3, 2 to 3 p.m., in the Nell Horth Meeting Room attached to the Sidney / North Saanich Library at 10091 Resthaven Drive.
Canada’s Changing Climate Report 2026 is the new national assessment of how the country’s land and oceans are changing and why, written by more than a hundred Canadian climate scientists and oceanographers. Dr. Sophia Johannessen, one of its coordinating lead authors, is giving the talk. She is an oceanographer at Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Institute of Ocean Sciences in North Saanich, and the library’s scientist-in-residence this year. The library promises a bit of good news at the end.
