Intrepid Theatre’s Victoria Fringe Festival marks its 40th anniversary this year, running August 26 through September 6 at venues across downtown. The lineup is unjuried and eclectic: more than 35 shows spanning drama, musicals, dance, comedy, and theatre for young audiences, plus free community events like the Fringe Eve preview. A one-time $5 Fringe button funds the festival, and 100 per cent of net ticket sales go back to the artists you choose to see. The Intrepid box office opens August 4.
