Finished · Sunday, September 6
This one has wrapped.
Victoria Fringe Festival finished on Sunday, September 6. Everything below is how it ran, so you know what to expect if it comes round again.
What to expect
Intrepid Theatre’s Victoria Fringe Festival marks its 40th anniversary this year, running August 26 through September 6 at venues across downtown. The Fringe Preview opens the run at Alix Goolden Performance Hall at 6 p.m. on August 26, with shows starting August 27 and the Pick of the Fringe Awards closing things out at Polish Hall on September 6.
The lineup is unjuried and eclectic: more than 35 shows spanning drama, musicals, dance, comedy, and theatre for young audiences, staged at numbered venues and a handful of unconventional sites around the city. A one-time $5 Fringe button funds the festival, and 100 per cent of net ticket sales go back to the artists you choose to see. The box office at The Intrepid Studio, 1609 Blanshard Street, runs noon to 5 p.m. daily from August 24.
