Autumn Lantern Festival
Saanich's free evening lantern festival returns to Gordon Head Recreation Centre and Lambrick Park on September 12, with cultural performances, illuminated displays, food vendors, and $5 lantern kits.
Saanich marks the turn of the season on Saturday, September 12, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Gordon Head Recreation Centre and Lambrick Park. Cultural entertainment, illuminated displays, and food vendors, plus workshops where you can build your own lantern. Bring one from home or buy a $5 kit at the Gordon Head reception desk from 5 p.m., cash or card, first come first served. Entry is free, there is a free bike valet, and leashed dogs are welcome in the park.
