This one has wrapped.
Repair Café West Shore & Holiday Décor Swap & Shop finished on Saturday, September 26. Everything below is how it ran, so you know what to expect if it comes round again.
ReImagine West Shore runs repair cafés through the year at Gordon United Church. Their next Langford sessions are the Grow Your Own Groceries workshop on October 15 and a year-round veggie garden session on November 7.
What to expect
Saturday, September 26, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gordon United Church on Goldstream Avenue. A volunteer repair team takes a look at whatever you bring, assesses it, and fixes what can be fixed, free or by donation. There is a snack and a room full of people to talk to while you wait, which is most of the point.
Paired with it this time is a Holiday Décor Swap & Shop: bring clean fall and winter decorations that still work, take home someone else’s. Drop-offs run at the church the Wednesday to Friday before, September 23 to 25, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
No gas-powered items, for either the repairs or the swap, and give anything you want repaired a wipe down first.
