What to expect
Halloween night, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Archie Browning Sports Centre on Esquimalt Road.
Esquimalt Recreation sets it up as a stop on the trick-or-treating route rather than a destination of its own: treats, family activities, and dinner from the Esquimalt Lions Club barbecue, by donation. The Lions also run the concession, with hot dogs, chips, and other food for sale.
The Township’s page prices the barbecue but not entry, so check it before you go.
