What to expect
Friday, November 6, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the fieldhouse at the G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, 3100 Tillicum Road.
The organisers call it Vancouver Island’s most established fair, and this is its 31st year at Pearkes. More than 125 exhibitors bring crafts, fine art, photography, clothing, glass art, jewellery, bath and beauty products, fine woodwork, gourmet food, wine and spirits, plus a section of fair trade imports. There are daily draw prizes and a DJ, and Greek on The Street sells snacks and light meals.
Admission is $7 at the front entrance, or $8 for a pass good all three days, and children under 12 get in free with an adult. Parking is free and the building is wheelchair accessible.
