What to expect
September 5 closes the 2026 firework season at Butchart, and the show starts at 8:45 p.m. now that the evenings have drawn in. About thirty minutes of aerial and ground displays choreographed to music, with Concert Lawn entertainment beforehand. Backbeat plays the final summer concert at 7:30 p.m. Included with Gardens admission, and note that 12-month pass holders are charged full admission if they arrive or stay past 4 p.m. on firework Saturdays. Fireworks run under permit and can be cancelled for weather, as happened on August 15 and 22, so check before you drive out.
