Centre of the Universe Presents Bob McDonald
The voice of Quirks & Quarks comes to Sidney on September 28, 7 p.m. An evening of science talk from CBC's long-serving host, with every ticket going to astronomy outreach at the Centre of the Universe.
Monday, September 28 at the Charlie White Theatre, doors at 6:30, talk at 7. Bob McDonald has hosted Quirks & Quarks since 1992, which is long enough that a fair number of Victoria households have had him on the radio every Saturday for their whole adult lives.
It is a fundraiser for astronomy outreach: all ticket proceeds go to public stargazing and science education at the Centre of the Universe, the observatory hill facility above Saanich. Tickets are $40.
