This one has wrapped.
A-scare-ium of the Salish Sea finished on Friday, October 23. Everything below is how it ran, so you know what to expect if it comes round again.
What to expect
Friday, October 23 at the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea on the Sidney waterfront. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and last entry is 7:30, with the evening wrapping at 8. Face painting runs from 5:30 to 6:30.
This is the centre’s sixth annual Halloween night: an aquarium trick-or-treat for all ages, with displays that are eerie but, in the centre’s words, not too scary, and a challenge to hunt down the sunken jack-o-lanterns. Bring your own bag for the treats.
Entry is by donation, with $5 to $10 a person suggested. Money raised supports The New Marine Centre Society and the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank.
